We will work with you to plan a wedding, private party or corporate entertainment function that meets your needs exactly. This is what you can expect from us:

A professional, five-piece band that plays a wide range of music - mostly pop, rock, disco and funk from the 1960s to current chart hits - suitable for any age range, venue or occasion.

Our music is high energy with a lot of audience engagement - if you want music that blends into the background you’ll need to look elsewhere!

We play 100% live with no use of backing tracks. Surprisingly few bands can make that claim. We help to supply the atmosphere that only a truly live band brings to a celebration.

We will play anywhere in and around North East England – North Yorkshire, Teesside, County Durham, Tyneside, Wearside, Northumberland, Cumbria, southern Scotland and the Borders. We will consider bookings outside the region but obviously time and distance can have an impact on cost.

Our pricing is very competitive if you compare us like for like with other genuine wedding and function bands.

The dress code of the band will suit the occasion. Musicians and crew will present themselves and behave as you would expect from arrival at the venue to departure. Are you planning a formal event? No problem - evening dress is an option.

We can provide your choice of pre-recorded ambient and dance music by the original artists for the band’s breaks and at other times during the booking. All tracks are recorded, mixed and cross-faded (to eliminate gaps) to a professional standard.

If we are providing a pre-recorded music service as above we will light your dance floor as well as the stage area.

A competent sound and lighting technician works with us at every engagement and also acts as a contact for customers and venue staff when the band is performing.

We provide top quality sound and lighting equipment.

Professional readings and announcements (the First Dance at weddings for example) can be provided free of charge for more formal events.

Our management company Vivid Arts and Events can supply complementary services such as DJs, solo piano/guitar or piano/vocal duos either alongside the band or separately.

We always carry full Public Liability insurance cover.

Above all, you can expect our total commitment to providing a high quality service.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM CUSTOMERS:

We will want to discuss your requirements in some detail well in advance of your date and to confirm the arrangements in a booking form which is designed to protect you as well as us. A deposit (usually 25%) secures any booking. We will sometimes waive a deposit for charity fundraisers and some other events.

We will talk to you (or directly to your venue if necessary) to establish, for example:

The size of the stage or performance area.

The running order for your function, when and for how long you want the band to play and any additional services such as pre-recorded music.

Start and finish times for your event and when we can get access to the venue to set up our equipment, preferably before any guests arrive.

Whether or not we will have somewhere to get changed and leave cases, bags and personal items while we are on-site.

The electrical power supply at the venue for both sound equipment and lights. This can be particularly important for events held in marquees and using generator power.

We find that agreeing these and other terms and conditions in good time helps to ensure a smooth-running and successful event.
