THE PRECIOUS THINGS are Brides magazine's North East band of the year for 2010. We are featured as part of a promotion with the
May/June edition.
Congratulations to Wal and Annie Wallace on their 25th wedding anniversary, it was a real pleasure to help them
celebrate at Creighton Hall Embleton.
The band recently made a welcome return to the Derwent Manor Hotel where we played last Christmas season to help the
Stanhope Show committee celebrate at their black tie ball. Thanks to the hotel staff for the recommendation.
Our new Mercedes band bus is already proving its worth. Lovingly converted with a secure load space at the back and a
central chill-out lounge area it's ideal for carrying band, crew and equipment on our longer trips.
The band have recently finished some recording sessions at Digital Garden
studio. Many thanks to Johannes, sound engineer extraordinaire. The new CD is
now available and you can play all the tracks on
the
OUR MUSIC page. We hope to be recording
again soon with some of our original songs.
One nice spinoff from myspace has been some regular broadcasts of our recorded material on both Dalecast radio and RealRadio1.

At
the end of December 2009 we finished another really busy period with a variety
of bookings leading up to a lively New Year's Eve in Darlington. 
Summer 2009 was our busiest time ever and with a great range of engagements - indoor and outdoor, evenings and afternoons,
weddings, family days, a summer ball and some private parties - in a range of venues across the North East. June 21st saw us at
Alnwick Garden Pavilion (in the castle grounds) for a 60th anniversary celebration for the local theatre club. There are some
pictures on our myspace site (link below).
December 2008 was our busiest ever month till then with a range of private parties and hotel bookings. We were delighted to
open the first Christmas season at the brand new luxury Doxford Hall country house hotel and spa near Chathill, Northumberland,
including performing at the official opening and press launch.
