A BAND FOR ALL OCCASIONS THE PRECIOUS THINGS is a five piece band based in the North East of England playing rock, classy pop, funk and jazzier sounds. The band specialises in functions but also performs a few public gigs (see the gigs page.) The hugely experienced line-up includes powerful female lead vocals, guitar, bass, drums and keyboards and the amazingly varied repertoire can be tailored to suit events of all styles. Founder members Allie Warneford (vocals and percussion) and Dave Gardiner (all manner of guitars and backing vocals) formed the band in 2004 and have gradually put together an impressive line-up which also includes versatile drummer and backing singer Mike Nevin a solid bass groove and great vocal harmonies from Karl Barlow and the legendary Derek Miller on keyboards, backing vocals and percussion. The band has excellent PA and lighting and can provide pre-recorded music or professional DJ services to complement their live performances.
