A BAND FOR ALL OCCASIONS THE PRECIOUS THINGS is a 100% live, versatile and energetic party, functions and wedding band that has been playing throughout the North East of England and beyond since 2004.  With a reputation for a professional, tailor-made service and a great stage presence, the line-up is equally at home at weddings, civil partnerships, parties of all styles and corporate events. The band plays regularly at top class hotels, larger sports and social clubs, army bases and theatres. Pricing is always competitive and the band will be happy to discuss discounts for smaller functions and charity fundraisers. Every booking accepted gets the same professional and personal attention to planning, preparation and performance. The repertoire is wide ranging, including rock, pop, funk, dance and easier listening, jazzier sounds. With powerful female lead vocals and superb vocal harmonies from the other members (on guitar, keyboards, bass and drums) the band covers material from the '50s to current chart hits. Band members and crew have a huge amount of experience in the music business, TV, film, radio and professional theatre and always present a good image with a flexible dress code. The regular technical crew operates excellent sound and lighting equipment and can provide pre-recorded music of the customer's choice before, between and after the band's live sets. Alternatively, professional dj services can be arranged if required.
